Community engagement at the MCG

Working as A Sport For All Community Ambassador for Cricket Australia, I was part of a team of volunteers who met and escorted members of the Chinese and Indian communities to watch two Big Bash League T/20 games at the MCG in the 2015/16 season. Many of the Chinese visitors had never watched cricket before and were very interested to learn what was going on.

Indian Community Day saw a spectacular record crowd of over 80,000 people watch the two Melbourne teams the Stars and the Renegades face off on 2nd January 2016. The Stars won the match with opening batsman Luke Wright scoring a maiden century (100 runs).
