Hawthorn v PNG Charity Match

On 29 Jan. 2012, Hawthorn CC hosted a Charity Challenge match against a National PNG team at Rathmines Reserve, East Hawthorn. Generous amounts of used cricket gear was donated to be sent to PNG to develop the game . The PNG players enthralled the crowd winning the match off the very last ball by one run. Local MP Josh Frydenberg presented the HCC v PNG Charity Challenge Trophy to the winning team.
