Melbourne Stars Club Award

I was delighted to submit the winning entry to the Melbourne Stars Clubs Program 2015/16 for Hawthorn Cricket Club. Along with our Club signing up 20 plus Melbourne Stars members, it required writing in 100 words or less "How your club is family friendly and all inclusive". The cheque was presented to Paul Mitchell and myself at the MCG before the Melbourne Stars vs Brisbane Heat T/20 BBL match on 14 January, 2016. An excited young group of Hawthorn junior players watched on in the crowd. The prize money will be predominantly used towards developing our Junior Program, establishing Girls Junior teams as well as attracting kids from culturally diverse, non-traditional cricket communities to join our Junior cricket programs.
